PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Calvert County Planning Commission voted at their regularly scheduled Oct. 15 meeting to confirm their 2026 schedule. The complete schedule can be found online.

Each year, the Planning Commission reviews the proposed Planning Commission regular meeting dates for the upcoming year and can propose action or changes to the schedule. The schedule is then posted online for the public’s information.

Planning Commission regular meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, with some exceptions. If a holiday falls within or close to the third Wednesday of the month, the meeting or corresponding due dates may be rescheduled accordingly.

Planning Commission meetings are hybrid; they take place in person at 150 Main Street, Prince Frederick, and can be viewed on Meetings-on-Demand and Teams. However, Tamara Blake-Wallace, deputy director of planning and Planning Commission administrator, added that the in-person meetings will be moved to a new building in the next few months and that information on those plans will be made available soon.

Special meetings, work sessions, Planning Commission public hearings and joint public hearings with the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will be added to the schedule as needed. During meetings, members of the Planning Commission review proposed development plans, zoning ordinance changes and more, and hear public comments about ongoing projects.

The proposed 2026 schedule does include monthly meetings and currently does not have any scheduled special meetings or additional meetings. Interested residents can find the meetings online on the Meetings-on-Demand page.
