The Chesapeake Public Charter School (CPCS) will conduct two Prospective Student Information Session/Tours on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 6:30-7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the school site. The school is located at 20945 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
Current teachers, parents, and students will be on hand to answer questions and lead tours of the school. Applications and admission information will be available during the information sessions, are available at the school during normal operating hours, and can be found on the school’s website at www.smcps.org/cpcs/. The open application period for the school runs from January 3 through January 31, 2011. All applications for the 2011-2012 school year must be received no later than January, 31, 2011.
CPCS is a small school setting aimed at providing an alternative for parents seeking a smaller, more personalized learning environment for their child. CPCS is a tuition-free, 11-month public school that is part of the St. Mary’s County Public School system.
