Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article published on 3/21/2024 stated that Royal Farms was confirmed for Pad C. However, it has been clarified that Royal Farms has not officially signed a lease as of right now.

CALIFORNIA, Md. – Back in February 2019, the St. Mary’s County Planning Commission approved the development of the Oak Crest PUD, which is the expansion of the Lexington Exchange.

According to the Lexington Exchange site plan, a Chipotle, a proposed big box, and a restaurant will be coming to the development. According to the developer, Royals Farms is not a done deal as of right now. The group is still operating within its due diligence and no lease has been officially signed.

As of right now, there are no exact plans for the big box, it is currently just a placeholder.

  1. I find it amazing that Aldi and Giant survive across the street from each other, that Giant and moms survive next to each other and across the street from Aldo excuse me Aldi + that Chipotle and taco bell survive across the street from each other.

    1. Idk why you would be amazed, there are plenty of differences between each of these to allow them to serve different customers. I guess if you don’t understand that, then you should probably expand your awareness of the world around you. It’s like comparing Ruth’s Chris to Outback because they both serve steak.

  2. Oh look! Another gas station and fast food place (because we need a second Chipotle) but they wouldn’t approve apartments for people to live in.

  3. We. Don’t. Need. Another. Chipotle! There’s one literally 5 minutes down the road. Do better.

  4. We don’t need anymore restaurants, shopping centers, houses for the wealthy, and overpriced apartments. What we need are homes that ones on social security or disability can afford, as well as safe areas where the homeless can stay (tent areas, etc).
