On Nov. 13 at 1:55 p.m., officers responded to Thrifty Wash, 4360 Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, for the report of a robbery.
A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun and approached an employee who was in a back office. The suspect picked up a cash register, threw it to the ground, stole money and fled. The victim, who was not injured, called police.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 30-40 years in age, with a chipped front tooth, wearing a black cap and dark clothing. He fled in a light brown/tan full-sized pick-up truck with tinted windows.
Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence.
