At approximately 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad along with other companies in Calvert, Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County responded to a working building fire on Keith Lane in Owings.

Keith Lane is in a heavy industrialized area of Calvert County and there were concerns that fire would spread to other structures. Because of this concern, there was a second alarm dispatched shortly after Chief 5 of Dunkirk arrived on the scene.

Cause of the fire is unknown at this time remains under investigation by Fire Marshal. There were no reports of any injuries to anyone including firefighters and first responders.
