Hollywood, MD ย –ย A house fire Friday evening, Feb. 12 resulted in $175,000 damage to a one-story house in St. Maryโs County, state officials reported. The blaze at the home of William and Linda Snively on Keith Court in Hollywood was reported at approximately 7:27 p.m.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโs Office, 40 firefighters from Hollywood, Mechanicsville, Bay District, Leonardtown and Seventh District were dispatched to the one-alarm blaze and brought the flames under control in 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
โThe cause of the fire was determined to be accidental from an electrical malfunction at a sub-panel,โ Dfm. B. Shepperd reported. โThe occupants of the dwelling were displaced and are being assisted by family members.โ
The fire originated in the garage before spreading into the home.

Hollywood, MD – St. Mary’s County volunteer firefighters were dispatched to a house fire on Keith Lane in Hollywood Friday evening, Feb. 12. The fire was reported around 7:30 p.m., according to Company 7. The fire is believed to have originated in the garage and then extended into the house and attic area. Company 7 officials reported a family pet was rescued by firefighters.
“The fire was cut off before reaching a majority of the house and held at the garage and two rooms,” Company 7 officials stated.
No injuries were reported.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.

Hollywood, MD – Crews were dispatched Friday evening, Feb. 12 for a fire at a home on Keith Court in Hollywood. Sources report the blaze started in an attached garage and spread to the home. There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
