UPDATE – The burglary suspect from Sunderland Elementary has been identified. Thank you for all the tips and information sent to us.

SUNDERLAND, Md. — Calvert County deputies are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of breaking into Sunderland Elementary School on July 19, 2025.

Investigators said the burglary occurred around 11 p.m., when the suspect entered the school and was later seen on security footage walking through the building. In the video, he removes a hat and carries off a bag containing miscellaneous items.

The sheriff’s office released still images of the man and is urging anyone who recognizes him to contact Cpl. Troy Holt at 443-624-0278 or Troy.Holt@calvertcountymd.gov, referencing case number 25-61603.
