On Wednesday, Jan. 7, a representative from the Federal Communications Commission will be available to answer questions of the transition to digital television (DTV) and help seniors apply for coupons available to them worth $40.
These presentations will be at the Garvey Senior Activity Center at 10 a.m. and at the Northern Senior Activity Center at 1 p.m. The details of transitioning from analog TV broadcast signals to digital will be explained and there will be a demonstration of the installation process of converter boxes. These presentations are free and will get you on track before the effective deadline of February 17. Walk-ins are welcome.
