At 4:11 a.m. this morning, April 1, firefighters responded to Lantana Drive in Bryan’s Road.
The fire was discovered and reported by a neighbor. Ten firefighters responded and had the fire under control in five minutes.
The fire was determined to have originated in a mulch pile from discarded smoking materials. It has been ruled accidental. An estimated $200 in damage was caused to the home.
