At 11:50 am, on Thursday, February 22, TFC Linger observed a black Cadillac with dark tinted windows on Rt. 5 in the area of Mt. Wolfe Road in Charlotte Hall.
A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Ian Christopher Emes, 19, of Lexington Park. A check of Mr. Emes’ driving record revealed his driver’s license was suspended. Mr. Emes fled on foot.
After a brief foot chase, Mr. Emes was apprehended and was found to be in possession of two bags of cocaine powder weighing 31.9 grams and a marijuana cigar.
Mr. Emes was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia and resisting arrest and other traffic related citations and a Safety Equipment Repair Order for the tinted windows.
He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention pending a bond review.
