At 10:00 pm on Friday, May 5, Tpr. G. White responded to Chaptico Road at Route 5 for a reported property damage accident.
Investigation revealed that the driver of a Ford collided into the rear of a Volvo when the Volvo was slowing to make a left turn.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Thomas Bayard Hanson, 43, of Hollywood. During conversation with Mr. Hanson, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath. After failing field sobriety tests, Mr. Hanson was arrested and charged with DUI.
