LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A nationwide warrant tied to a child sexual abuse investigation out of Idaho led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Leonardtown resident, drawing attention to an alleged online case that investigators say may involve multiple victims.
Jacob William St. Peter, 19, of Leonardtown, has been charged in Maryland with being a fugitive from justice from the state of Idaho. He is currently being held without bond while authorities await extradition proceedings. A fugitive hearing is scheduled for March 5, 2026.
According to police information, St. Peter is wanted in Idaho in connection with allegations of sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 16. Court records state that he had been living in Leonardtown and was reportedly employed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
The Nampa Police Department reported that the investigation began in December 2025 after an Idaho resident notified authorities that a minor had received unsolicited explicit images from an unknown adult male through online platforms. Detectives say the investigation led to the identification of a suspect believed to be using the username “randysaystrade.”
According to the Nampa Police Department, investigators allege St. Peter referenced “764,” which they describe as an online network identified by the FBI as being associated with coordinated grooming and the coercive exploitation of vulnerable adolescents.
After what officials described as an extensive investigation, Nampa Police detectives secured a nationwide warrant. The warrant was served Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, in Maryland, leading to St. Peter’s arrest.
Police investigators have indicated they are continuing to investigate whether there may be additional victims in Idaho. Authorities are urging anyone who believes they, a friend, or a child may have had contact with St. Peter online to contact Detective Monroe at 208-465-2257. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677).
St. Peter remains in custody in Maryland pending the outcome of his extradition hearing. In Idaho, sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 is a felony offense under Idaho Code § 18-1506 and carries severe penalties if a person is convicted. Sentences can include imprisonment for up to life.
