NEW YORK CITY – Several sources are reporting that on the morning of January 8 at approximately 7 a.m. firefighters responded to what is being described as a small electrical fire on the roof of Trump Tower in Manhattan. The fire was controlled shortly after 8 a.m., Eric Trump, executive vice president to the Trump Organization took to Twitter to address the incident and thank the New York Fire Department.
No major injuries were reported from the fire. One firefighter suffered a minor injury after debris fell on them and one Trump Tower engineer received medical treatment after inhaling smoke.
Previous to the White House, Trump Tower was the President’s home for over 30 years.
