Four people were hurt Monday night in a crash at the intersection of Route 4 and FDR Boulevard in California.
Volunteer firefighters and rescue squad personnel from Lexington Park and Hollywood were dispatched near 8:30 p.m., after the call was upgraded from a property-damage crash to a injury accident.
The initial assessment on scene was one person injured, but that also was upgraded to Four injured persons.
Medical personnel decided to transport at least one person by rescue helicopter, but all helicopters in the region were grounded due to weather.
Three were taken to the hospital in three Lexington Park Volunteer Squad ambulances, and one was taken in a Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance.
