HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — A Prince Frederick man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after Calvert County sheriff’s deputies say he repeatedly trespassed on private property and resisted arrest during an early-morning encounter in Huntingtown.
Victor Percy Sanders, 36, was arrested Dec. 21, 2025, after deputies responded to a report of a trespasser at a residence in the 5000 block of Camp Kaufmann Road, according to charging documents.
According to a statement of probable cause filed by Deputy R. Campbell, deputies arrived shortly after midnight and found Sanders sitting on the front porch of the residence. Dispatchers advised that Sanders had previously been barred from the property and had been formally notified in May 2022 that he was prohibited from returning at the request of the homeowner.
Deputies informed Sanders he was under arrest and instructed him to stand and place his hands behind his back. Court records state Sanders refused to comply, remained seated, and resisted deputies’ attempts to remove him from the chair. Investigators allege Sanders continued resisting by tensing his body and pulling his arms away as deputies attempted to take him into custody.
After being removed from the porch and placed on the ground, Sanders allegedly continued to resist by refusing to place his hands behind his back and attempting to conceal his arms underneath his body, according to court documents. Deputies ultimately placed him in handcuffs.
Sanders was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where he was charged with two counts of trespassing on private property and one count of resisting or interfering with arrest. Court records indicate he was released the same day on his own recognizance.
A trial is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2026, in Calvert County District Court.

Guy resisted because he tensed his muscles and tried to hide his hands? Poor cop. Imagine someone not doing your job for you and you having the power to lock them up for it. Resist used to actually mean something. Now non compliance is resistance.
It’s been that way forever Karen
Resist means to withstand the action or effect of something. So when you tense up to make it difficult for the police to do their jobs, you are resisting. You should probably educate yourself.
knucklehead.
