
INDIAN HEAD, Md. — Charles County Public Schools and the Charles County Department of Health will host a grand opening ceremony on Thursday, April 16, at 11:30 a.m. for a new school-based health center located on the Indian Head Elementary School campus.
The Dr. Chinnadurai Devadason School Based Health Center will officially open with a ceremony featuring local leaders, school officials and health professionals.
The program will begin with a welcome and introduction of distinguished guests by Indian Head Elementary School Principal Shane Blandford. Opening remarks will be delivered by Dr. Dianna E. Abney, health officer for the Charles County Department of Health.
Additional remarks will be provided by Nicole M. Kreamer, chairperson of the Charles County Board of Education, and Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D., superintendent of schools.
The ceremony will also include presentations of citations by Sen. Arthur C. Ellis, District 28, Charles County, and Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, Esq., of the Charles County Board of Commissioners.
Closing remarks will be given by Desiree Colvin, MSN, RN, school health program manager.
A complimentary lunch will be served following the ceremony.
