On Saturday, November 26, 2011, at approximately 4:25 am, there was a report of an auto accident at Route 260 and Bayside Road. The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad (Co. 1) responded with their ambulance and the ambulance from Dunkirk VFD (Co. 5).
Chief 1 (D. Gibson) was the first to arrive and reported a head-on collision. Injuries were minor, but the door on the car did need to be popped to get the person out of the car. The ambulance from Dunkirk was cancelled shortly thereafter, as it was decided that the one driver would sign a release and the other driver would be transported by the North Beach ambulance.
The one person was transported with minor injuries to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
