Instead of dodging traffic through downtown Prince Frederick as they did the previous years, the participantsย of the 2013 Run to End Hunger traversed The Calverton Schoolโs cross country course. The Saturday, Oct. 19 run through a mostly wooded venue attracted over 70 entrants.
The 5 kilometer (K) event is sponsored by End Hunger in Calvert County. Race director Jacqueline Miller reminded the runners and walkers that $20 of their entry fees will help feed a family of four for a whole week.
