WALDORF, Md. — Excitement is building in Waldorf as World Food Supermarket prepares to open its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at 2215 Crain Highway. The new international market will offer shoppers a wide selection of halal meats, fresh seafood, seasonal produce and global grocery items.
A soft opening from Sept. 28 through Sept. 30 will give the community an early taste of what’s inside — more than 14,000 square feet of shopping space and over 21,000 items ranging from everyday essentials to international favorites. Store representatives said products are sourced at 40 to 70 percent below standard retail prices, making the store a budget-friendly option for families.
World Food Supermarket will be one of the few large-scale markets in Southern Maryland to feature a full range of 100 percent halal-certified meats, alongside fresh produce, seafood and international groceries.
