
NEWBURG, Md. – On January 9, detectives assigned to the Narcotics Enforcement arrested Demetrius Antoine McKinney, age 32, of Newburg in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.
After obtaining a search warrant for McKinney’s home in the 9500 block of Oak Ridge Court, detectives recovered $14,000 worth of crack cocaine, a loaded handgun, several 50 and 100-round drum magazines for firearms, drug manufacturing and production materials, and cash. Detectives also recovered a stolen Cadillac and a stolen dirt bike.
McKinney was charged with drug trafficking, possession with the intent to distribute drugs, theft, and other related charges. The investigation is ongoing. On January 11, a judge ordered McKinney released on electronic monitoring.
