
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – On Feb. 13, 2026, Khiantae Rai-Vaugh Marquez Robinson, 20, of Lusby, pleaded guilty in Calvert County Circuit Court to attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence and concealing evidence of a crime.
The charges stemmed from a drive-by shooting that occurred on Sept. 16, 2025, on Golden West Way in Lusby. Investigators from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office determined that Robinson fired two shots from a vehicle at Nicholas Derick Dwayne Smith, 25, and Timothy William White Jr., 25, as they were changing a tire. Neither individual was wounded. Robinson was identified as the perpetrator and taken into custody after a seven-day search.
Robinson is currently detained at the Calvert County Detention Center. Sentencing is scheduled for May 15, 2026. Robinson is facing a maximum sentence of 78 years in prison.
