Man Airlifted To Trauma Center After Scooter Crash In Dameron

DAMERON, Md. — A 37-year-old man was flown to a regional trauma center Tuesday night, Sept. 30, 2025, after crashing his motorscooter along a rural stretch of road in southern St. Mary’s County.

The crash occurred about 7:50 p.m. near Easley Road and Saint Jeromes Neck Road. Emergency crews found the scooter resting on the roadside with visible front-end damage, and the rider suffering injuries to his shoulder and pelvis.

Paramedics requested a helicopter for transport, and Maryland State Police Trooper 6 landed nearby to airlift the man to UM Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
