On May 7 Patrol Officers responded to a 911 call for a robbery that had just occurred. Officers located the victim, Daniel Underwood suffering from a minor head injury.
Detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded and continued the investigation.
Underwood was inside his residence when a man arrived and produced a knife. The man demanded his money, before striking Underwood in the head with a lamp.
A suspect, Kevin Jerome Chase (Age 36 of Lexington Park) was developed and subsequently arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. Additional charges are pending a Grand Jury and State’s Attorney’s Office review.
