At 11:45 p.m. on March 29, Charles County sheriff’s officers responded to AMF Bowl, located at 11920 Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 27-year-old Waldorf man, was standing outside of the business when a man approached him and asked if he had any money. He responded that he was not going to give him any money.
At that time the man asking for money attempted to sell the the other man fake diamond earrings, and the victim told him he was not interested.
The man then asked for $10 and the victim reached into his pants pocket to see if he had $10. When he went to put his money back into his pocket, the thief slapped the money from the victim’s hand. When the thief then went to pick the money up from the ground, the victim punched him. The thief then pulled a razor blade from his pocket and cut the man in the cheek causing a deep laceration and other injuries.
The sthief was able to obtain some of the money and then fled the area behind the bowling alley.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s with a medium complexion and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.
