At 9 a.m.on Feb. 19, Officer E. Starcher responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Gallery Place in Waldorf for the report of an accidental shooting.
Investigation revealed a 21-year-old man was cleaning his gun when he accidentally shot himself in his leg. He was flown to Prince George’s Hospital Center’s shock trauma unit.
There were four other individuals in the apartment but they were not injured.
