Federal Court

WASHINGTON — A Maryland man employed at a District of Columbia school has been charged with distributing child sexual abuse material, federal prosecutors announced Monday.

Dandre Eric Davis, 31, of Prince George’s County, was charged in a criminal complaint unsealed Feb. 2, 2026, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro. Davis is an employee at Luke C. Moore Opportunities Academy in Washington, D.C.

Court documents allege that beginning Jan. 12, 2026, Davis communicated with another user on an online dating application about a sexual interest in children. Investigators say the conversations later moved to Telegram, an encrypted messaging platform, where Davis allegedly shared two videos depicting sexual acts involving prepubescent boys.

FBI Assistant Director in Charge Darren B. Cox of the Washington Field Office joined Pirro in announcing the charge.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Kelley.

Authorities said the case was brought as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, a nationwide effort launched in 2006 to combat the online sexual exploitation and abuse of children through coordinated federal, state, and local enforcement.
