Mechanicsville man charged after taking vehicle unlawfully

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On Jan. 31, Dep. Holdsworth responded to the 27000 block of Gold Lane, in Mechanicsville, for a report of motor vehicle theft.

The victim stated William Oliver Briscoe Jr., age 28, of Mechanicsville, had taken the victim’s keys without permission and left the residence in the victim’s vehicle.  While on the scene taking the report, Briscoe Jr., returned to the scene operating the vehicle. 

Briscoe Jr., was arrested and charged with Motor Vehicle/Unlawful Taking.
