On October 19, 2012, at approximately 1430 hours Trooper T. Davis was on patrol southbound U.S. Route 301 at Billingsley Road when he observed a blue Chevy Venture with expired tags. Trooper Davis initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Dorothy Mae Weaver, age 44 years of Silver Spring, MD. As he spoke with Weaver and her passenger, they both had conflicting stories. Assistance was requested from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for a K-9 scan. The K-9 scan resulted in a positive alert. Weaver was arrested and charged with displaying expired registration plates and possession of CDS not marijuana.
On October 20, 2012 at approximately 0824 hours, Trooper T. Davis was on northbound U.S. Route 301 at Acton Lane when he observed a white Chevy Silverado truck with expired tags. Trooper Davis initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Eva Maria Robinette, age 33 of La Plata, MD. TFC M. Newman, who had responded to assist, observed in plain view an unlabeled prescription pill bottle containing a controlled medication. Robinette was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
