SOLOMONS, Md. – Back in January 2022, Stoney’s Kingfisher’s Seafood Bar & Grill, located at 14442 Solomons Island Road, Solomons, Maryland, closed their doors after 10 years. Now, a Calvert County native is looking to bring a new restaurant to the building.
During their March 28, 2024, meeting, the Board of License Commissioners of Calvert County unanimously voted to grant Shanice Johnson of SWJ Enterprises, LLC a Class B “ON SALE”, Beer, Wine & Liquor license for her new restaurant named Coast 2 Coast.
Coast 2 Coast, which has an anticipated opening time frame of late April, will give customers a place for live music, crabs, outdoor dining, and more.
The building is roughly 4,800 square feet and rests atop a 0.25-acre waterfront lot on the Patuxent River. Additionally, the restaurant has panoramic views and several boat slips.
Johnson still needs to obtain a use and occupancy permit before Coast 2 Coast can open.

Do not support this business. They are Crooks and thieves. Just ask anybody in Cobb Island about the way they treated their customers and treated their employees and practically stole everything out of the last restaurant they had and never paid their bills they will do the same thing here I guarantee it.
This comment was 100% spot on! Employees nor vendors are being paid. Most are upwards of 3 weeks behind in receiving their weekly pay. Err on the side of caution when eating there especially when the scent is sewage is in the air…which is often. Owners are often seen in the bar area chowing down on steak, lobster and crab, or off enjoying vacations at the expense of free labor and free products. Someone should be investigating.
