NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. — A new traffic pattern will take effect at Naval Air Station Patuxent River’s Gate 2 starting Monday morning, a move aimed at easing congestion and improving entry flow, base officials announced Sunday.

The adjustment is designed to reduce wait times for drivers accessing the installation, which frequently experiences backups during peak hours. Motorists using Gate 2 should anticipate changes to lane configurations and entry procedures as part of the effort to streamline access.

In addition to the new traffic pattern, base security personnel are reminding all drivers to present the back of their identification cards with the barcode visible upon arrival at any gate. This standard protocol is intended to expedite the scanning process and minimize delays.
