
INDIAN HEAD, Md. — The Charles County Military Alliance Council will host the 2026 State of the Station briefing for Naval Support Facility Indian Head on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the College of Southern Maryland Velocity Center.
Doors open at 8:15 a.m., followed by breakfast and networking at 8:30 a.m. The formal briefing begins at 9 a.m.
The event will be held at the CSM Velocity Center, 4465 Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, MD 20640.
The annual State of the Station provides an inside look at operations, missions and future initiatives at NSF Indian Head. The briefing brings together military leadership, defense partners, local business leaders and elected officials to discuss priorities affecting the installation and the regional economy.
Naval Support Facility Indian Head remains a major economic driver in Western Charles County, supporting defense missions and advanced research operations. The event offers community stakeholders the opportunity to gain early insights into developments at the installation and its long-term impact on workforce, infrastructure and regional growth.
Attendance is limited and RSVP is required. Registration is available online through the Charles County Military Alliance Council.
Organizers are also encouraging businesses and community leaders to consider joining the Charles County Military Alliance Council. Membership provides access to military and government leadership events, bi-monthly Breakfast Club gatherings, year-round networking opportunities and early updates on mission initiatives and emerging technologies.
The council works to strengthen partnerships between the military installation and the surrounding community, helping align local economic development efforts with the needs of NSF Indian Head.
