One Hospitalized After Four-Vehicle Crash In Leonardtown

LEONARDTOWN, Md. — One person was taken to the hospital after a four-vehicle rear-end collision on Point Lookout Road near Ledo Pizza on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025.

The crash was reported just before 8 a.m., with initial 911 calls warning of possible entrapment. Fire and EMS units confirmed all occupants had exited their vehicles.

Medics evaluated one patient at the scene before transporting them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Several vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage, and at least one car’s airbags deployed during the impact. Use caution in the area as the traffic will be delayed while crews clear the roadway and remove the damaged vehicles.

Deputies with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of the crash.

I would encourage putting phones down while driving…but some of y’all have an addiction, and until you are the cause of a serious accident (because of your addiction), you will continue driving distracted. Get help if needed, but please stop driving distracted. You are driving everybody’s insurance up.
