UPDATE – Serious Motor Vehicle Collision In Charlotte Hall Under Investigation

CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — A serious multi-vehicle crash left one person trapped and prompted a medical helicopter response early Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, 2025, in St. Mary’s County.

Fire and EMS crews were dispatched around 6:44 a.m. to Three Notch Road near Charlotte Hall School Road. First-arriving units found one vehicle that had struck a tree, with an occupant unconscious and pinned inside.

Rescue crews began extrication while EMS evaluated a total of three patients. The trapped individual was freed shortly after and turned over to medics for transport.

A landing zone was established at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home for an awaiting medevac helicopter.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

  1. Such a bad intersection. Nobody goes less than 20mph over the speed limit and most Vet home staff are clueless

    1. You would think they increased the speed limit (instead of decreasing it) in Charlotte Hall the way people are driving.
