
CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – On July 31, 2024, at approximately 6:47 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Bayside Road and Christiana Parran Road Road for a serious single-vehicle accident involving a large landscaping and tree trimming truck.
Upon arrival, crews found the truck overturned, with both occupants conscious and talking. Firefighters quickly removed the windshield and assisted both patients out of the vehicle. EMS evaluated one individual at the scene and transported them by ambulance to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment. The other occupant declined medical care.

Due to an oil and fuel leak on the roadway, a State Highway Administration sand truck was requested to manage the spill.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
