INDIAN HEAD, Md. — Papaleo’s Ice Cream officially opened its walk-up window at Oasis Fresh Foods Market on Friday, May 23, just in time for Memorial Day weekend — and Indian Head Mayor Brandon Paulin was among the first to show support.
The menu offers a mix of flavors locals are already loving, from specialty sundaes like strawberry cheesecake, apple pie, and s’mores, to the shop’s signature Nor’easters, packed with sweet mix-ins. Among the early favorites is the Mayor’s Nor’easter, a caramel, coconut, and cookie combo named in honor of Mayor Brandon Paulin. In a post celebrating the opening, the shop shared, “After all that Mayor Paulin has done to support us, it’s only fitting he gets his own featured menu item.”
Thirsty? Papaleo’s also serves old-school root beer floats, creamy milkshakes (including a cinnamon roll shake), and mini scoops of Baltimore’s beloved Taharka Brothers premium ice cream.
Located at the front of Oasis Market, Papaleo’s Ice Cream is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and plans to serve the community throughout the summer and beyond.
