At 2:43 a.m. Dec. 13, TFC J. G. Fleetwood was responding to a report of a domestic assault in the 29000 block of Allison Circle in Mechanicsville.
A lookout was given for a gray passenger car leaving the area. TFC Fleetwood initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, and later identified the passenger as the suspect, Kendall Shane Zigler, 19, of Mechanicsville.
The suspect was returned to the residence in the 29000 block of Allison Circle in Mechanicsville and further investigation revealed the domestic assault was unfounded.
Additional information was learned that Zigler had removed money from the residence earlier and also had on several other occasions.
Zigler was placed under arrest and charged with theft over $500. He was later transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
