Glen Tyndell, 37, has been identified as the suspect who shot and killedย Corporal Mujahid Ramazziddin earlier today during a domestic dispute related tragedy. Tyndell had three open warrants for his arrest for assault, according to PG County police.ย

Police in Prince Georgeโs County just held a press conference following the fatal shooting on an off-duty officer in Brandywine.
Chief of Police, Henry Stawinski III, said Corporal Mujahid Ramazziddin, responded to a neighborโs call for help during a domestic violence situation. Ramazziddin stepped in front of the female victim and was shot and killed. The woman survived.
Police say the shooter then took Ramazziddinโs weapons and fled the scene in a car. Officers say he was shooting at them from his vehicle. They were able to stop the car and the suspect was shot and killed when he tried to run into the woods.
During an afternoon press conference, Stawinski called Ramazziddin a peace keeper. โSomeone in his community needed him and without hesitation he helped and saved a life.โ
Ramazziddin was a former marine and served with the PGPD for 14 years. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
Prince Georgeโs County Stateโs Attorney Angela Alsobrooks called the shooter a โgutless coward.โ She also renewed the call to stop domestic violence.

Brandywine, Md. –ย ย Sources confirm that a Prince George’s County police officer was shot and killed near Chadds Ford Drive and Chadsey Lane Feb. 21 at approximately 10:50 a.m. Reports say that the off-duty officer was attempting to protect a woman involved in a domestic dispute when the suspect shot him.
Indian Head Highway at Old Fort Road is closed in both directions while authorities investigate the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.ย
