Pulled Over for Doing 35 mph in a 55 mph Zone

At 11:14 pm, on March 26, TFC D. Collins observed a 1992 Isuzu truck.  The vehicle was traveling at 35 mph in a 55 mph zone.  A computer check revealed the vehicle’s registration plates to be reported stolen. 

TFC Collins initiated a traffic stop.  TFC Collins made contact with the operator who advised TFC Collins of
his name, James Anthony Goldring, 52 years, of Bryantown.   A computer
check further revealed the tags reported stolen to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. 

Further investigation revealed the vehicle to be unregistered and the operator/defendant advised TFC Collins the tags were on the vehicle when he purchased it from a friend.  The theft was confirmed by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the operator was arrested without incident.  

Goldring was processed and transported to the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.  The operator was charged with: Theft Less $500 value.
