CBS News Sunday Morning hosted by Charles Osgood (local Washington channel 9) is working on a story about “Commuting” – tentatively scheduled to air on Sunday, May 27. at 9 a.m. (Memorial Day weekend).

Part of that story will focus on “extreme commuters” – those who drive hours each day, crossing counties and even states to get to work. As one such commuter assigned to an aerospace company in Chantilly, VA office who commutes from Calvert County, MD, I was asked to participate.

The CBS crew did a drive along with me on Wednesday morning, May 16. While I was with the news crew from 5 until 8:30 a.m. that day, I took several opportunities to speak favorably about Calvert County. How much will pass the CBS editors is unknown.

As the President of the Dunkirk Area Concerned Citizens Association (DACCA), I thought it helpful to advise members and other interested persons who may want to watch the broadcast that day.
