Registration for the High School Summer School review courses will be held Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18,ย  at Leonardtown High School, from 7:30 until 11:30 a.m.ย  The high school summer school program is planned for public high school students presently enrolled in grades 9-12 who have received a grade of E in a course or have completed a course with a grade of D and wish to improve their skills.ย  A grade of E indicates the student had at least a 45% in the course and no more than 10 unlawful absences in the semester.

Students must bring documentation that proves their need for review of any class for which they wish to register.ย  This documentation may be in the form of a report card, a transcript, and/or a letter from their school counselor indicating which course is needed.ย  Courses may not be taken for original credit.

All high school courses will be held at Leonardtown High School.ย  The first semester of high school summer school will be held from June 22 to July 8 and the second semester will be held from July 9 to July 24.

Students may register for one or two courses each semester.ย  Classes will be held Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.ย  The fee per semester for each review course is $75 for students registered in a St. Maryโ€™s County school.ย  Students not registered in a school in St. Maryโ€™s County must pay $150.00 per semester course.ย  Students may register for both first and second semester courses during this registration period.ย  June 18, will be the final day for registration for first semester courses.

ย Students who wish to register for second semester courses only, may do so on June 30 and July 1, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at Leonardtown High School.ย  Transportation is not provided for high school summer school.ย  For more information, contact the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at (301) 475-5511 ext. 101.
