PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Lusby man is facing a series of criminal charges in Calvert County after prosecutors allege he repeatedly violated a court-ordered pretrial release condition over the course of about a month.
Court records show Michael Christopher James, 47, has been charged with 15 counts of violating a pretrial release condition in a crime of violence case, all classified as misdemeanors.
Charging documents allege the violations occurred on multiple dates between Nov. 26 and Dec. 26, 2025, with each count corresponding to a separate day prosecutors say James violated a no-contact condition imposed by the court.
According to court records, James had previously been charged in a crime of violence case and was prohibited from contacting a protected individual as a condition of his release. Prosecutors allege he violated that condition repeatedly during the specified time period.
James is scheduled to appear for a preliminary inquiry on Feb. 23, 2026, in Calvert County District Court, Courtroom 2.
A criminal summons was issued on Jan. 8, 2026.

Why are we wasting our time. Let him go ROR. After he does something violent we can all have prayers and thoughts about the injured. The current legal system is a joke. Do whatever you want. The law doesn’t care.
