The Humane Society of Calvert County is sponsoring Bagels for Beagles, an adoption event to be held at Pepper’s Pet Pantry in Solomons on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Billed as Beagle Mania, the event will feature a variety of rescued dogs in need of loving homes.
Visitors will be treated to complimentary bagels, juice and coffee while meeting the caring canines from a recent major rescue operation. Photos and descriptions of the beagles are posted on the Humane Society’s web site. Those who wish to adopt a dog must fill out an adoption application available online.
