Paul Revere Dick, leader of the 60s rock band Paul Revere and the Raiders, has passed away at his home in Idaho according to longtime manager Roger Hart. He was 76.
Paul revere and the Raiders had a string of hits in the 60s and early 70s, most notably โIndian Reservationโ, which peaked at number 1 in July of 1971.
Revere was known for a time as known as “the madman of rock and roll” for his theatrical colonial wardrobe and infectious stage persona with the band. Paul Revere and the Raiders were the house band for the Dick Clark TV Show โWhere the Action Isโ, broadcast nationally from 1965 to 1967.
