At 7:29 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, Cpl. Anthony C. Moschetto responded to the intersection of Md. Rt. 4 and Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick in reference to a traffic accident involving an assault.ย 

The victim told police he had been cut off by another driver while traveling north on Md. Rt. 4 near Rt. 231. He then made what police have called โ€œa gestureโ€ at the driver, who has been identified as Darrell Robinson, and was in subsequently rear-ended by him.

The two vehicles came to a stop at the intersection of Dares Beach Rd. and Md. Rt. 4, following the collision. Two eye-witnesses confirm the victimโ€™s report that Robinson got out of his white Ford Ranger, approached the victim and proceeded to punch him in the back and side of his head.ย 

Robinson fled the scene, but the victim was able to record his tag number. Assault charges are now pending.
