
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Rural Maryland Council (RMC) invites the public, policymakers, and stakeholders to join in celebrating Maryland Day on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis. This special event will highlight the contributions, challenges, and successes of Maryland’s rural communities while encouraging dialogue around policies and initiatives that shape their future.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from key state leaders, connect with rural advocates, and enjoy locally sourced refreshments. The gathering offers a chance to recognize the vital role rural Maryland plays in the state’s economy, culture, and heritage.
“Maryland Day is an opportunity to celebrate the communities that shape our state’s heritage and future,” said Susan O’Neill, Chair of the Rural Maryland Council. “We’re proud to highlight the impact of rural Maryland and the partnerships that help these communities thrive.”
