WALDORF, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus on Berry Road near McDaniel Road on Monday, April 7, 2025.
The collision, reported around 7:45 a.m., involved three vehicles, including a blue Toyota Sienna and a Charles County Public Schools bus #1013 transporting North Point High School students. Parents were notified, and a replacement bus continued the route shortly after.
A medic reported the bus had minor front-end damage and the students appeared calm and unhurt. One individual from another vehicle was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash temporarily shut down the westbound lanes of Berry Road as crews cleared the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
School officials confirmed that Bus #1013 had been en route to North Point High at the time. Parents were notified, and a replacement bus continued the route shortly after.
