At 4:02 p.m. May 23 at 4:02 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the parking lot of Berry Elementary School located at 10155 Berry Road in Waldorf for the school bus crash.
Investigation revealed Bus #193 operated by Carolyn Ann Foote, 26, of Waldorf was turning toward the exit of the school when it sideswiped Bus #340 operated by Joseph Franklin Buckler, 60, of Waldorf.
Bus #340 was parked at the curb and had loaded two students at the time of the crash. The drivers of the buses and the students, an eight-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy, were not injured.
Officer R. Glover, Jr. of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
