Seahawks Baseball Drops Non-Conference Matchup To Marymount

ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Baseball Team (4-10) hosted the Marymount University Saints (15-4) for a midweek non-conference matchup. The Seahawks fell in the contest, 30-0.

How It Happened

  • Marymount scored 15 runs over the course of the first two innings.
  • Chase O’Dell picked up a hit in the bottom of the first.
  • George Berbakos added a single in the bottom of the third and Cole Tarleton added one in the bottom of the fourth, but the Seahawks couldn’t continue the momentum.
  • The Saints added eight more runs spanning the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. 
  • Eli Shafer connected on a lead off single in the bottom of the eighth, but the Seahawks could not build off of it to put runs on the board. 
  • Marymount added seven more runs in the last three innings to claim a 30-0 victory.
