LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Please join Sheriff Steve Hall and the men and women of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in welcoming and congratulating our newest Correctional Officers: CO Brandon Connelly, CO Reagan Evans*, CO Ja’Marion Johnson*, CO Jachin Nukolczak*, and CO Presley Quade. Our newest members graduated from the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy’s Corrections Entrance Level Training Program Session 71 on Friday, April 5, 2024, during a ceremony held at Chopticon High School.

Sheriff Steve Hall told the graduates during opening remarks, “…this is a milestone in your lives. Take the time to be in this moment, relish it, and realize it as the great accomplishment it represents. It proves you have what it takes to do what I believe is the most difficult job in public safety.”

We also congratulate our law enforcement partner agencies and new Calvert County and Charles County graduates.
