Spirits in the Sky Benefit LLC, a Maryland Benefit LLC, announced the details of the 2014 โ€œSouthern Maryland Sun & Music Festivalโ€ at the Calvert County Fairgrounds in Prince Frederick. Advance tickets go on sale April 20 until May 5. Advance ticket purchaser will receive a two day pass for the price on a one day pass. Tickets are $25.

Drawing from their musical roots in Los Angeles, Nashville and New Orleans, the Morrison Brothers Band play a unique brand of country music with unparalleled energy and style. After years of writing, recording, and performing across the U.S. together, The Morrison Brothers Band have proven themselves to be not only the premier country/rock act in the Washington D.C. area, but a national contender with a very bright future. The group has shared the stage with many of the biggest acts in rock and country music today from Alison Krauss to Tim McGraw. Currently riding the release of their third full-length record State of the Union, the band is experiencing national radio airplay and growing more in demand by the minute.

Tom Principato has spent the last 40+ years as a guitarist and singer based in his hometown of Washington, D.C. In the 1970’s, Tom was leader of the legendary band Powerhouse, an East Coast phenomenon who released an album “Night Life” to critical acclaim. Tom also did a one year stint with Geoff Muldaur and recorded an album “I Ain’t Drunk”(Hannibal/Island Records 1980) with the band Geoff Muldaur and His Bad Feet members of which included Andy Stein (Asleep At The Wheel), and Mark Kazanoff (Earl King). Tom has also done brief stints with various acts including Billy Price And The Keystone Rhythm Band, Big Mama Thornton, Johnny Adams, Sunnyland Slim, James Montgomery, and a group called the Assassins with Jimmy Thackery, former guitarist with the Nighthawks. Tom appears on two albums with the Assassins, “No Previous Record” (1986)and “Partners In Crime”

Deer Park Avenue is an award-winning sister rock duo of Sarah and Stephanie Snyder, two sisters who have been rocking out together since they were kids. Theyโ€™re often called power-pop, alternativeโ€”an electric sound with the old-school rock vibe they grew up loving.They are the winners of Hard Rock Rising, Washington D.C., a battle of the bands hosted by one of the worldโ€™s most popular music websites, ReverbNation. They are voting members of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) in the Washington D.C.
